Verse of the Day
Ezra 3:8
Reflections On The Scripture: Zerubbabel and Jeshua were instrumental figures in the physical and spiritual rebuilding of Jerusalem following the captivity. Amidst the ruins of what was, they saw what could be - the restored house of God. Sometimes, we too are called to be restorers within our own lives, in our relationships or in our communities. We might feel inadequate or ill-equipped, just as the Levites, who were as young as twenty, might have felt. But, remember, it's not about our age, expertise, or strength, rather it's about our faith and commitment to the work of the Lord. Just as the Levites were appointed to set forward the work of the house of the Lord, we too are selected to carry out His work in the world around us. No matter how insurmountable the task may seem, taking that first step in faith, just as Zerubbabel and Jeshua did, can pave the way for restoration and harmony.
