Verse of the Day

Ezekiel 8:1
And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.
Reflections On The Scripture: In this eloquent passage from the book of Ezekiel, it's revealed to us that the acquaintance with divine purpose often comes when we are situated in the midst of our communities, in the comfort of our homes, surrounded by those we respect and love. It establishes that God's guiding hand can descend upon us at any time, irrespective of where we are – His timing is impeccable. It's worth noting how Ezekiel was situated amongst the elders, a sign of reverence to wisdom and experience, yet it was him the hand of the Lord fell upon - an affirmation that divine calling is not resigned to age or status. The Lord chooses according to His will and compels us to remember that His calling may come at any time, in any place. Therefore, we must always be open to His voice, and prepare our hearts to willingly follow His lead.
