It's worth noting how Ezekiel was situated amongst the elders, a sign of reverence to wisdom and experience, yet it was him the hand of the Lord fell upon - an affirmation that divine calling is not resigned to age or status. The Lord chooses according to His will and compels us to remember that His calling may come at any time, in any place. Therefore, we must always be open to His voice, and prepare our hearts to willingly follow His lead.
