Verse of the Day

Ezekiel 39:17
And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
Reflections On The Scripture: This vivid scripture from Ezekiel reminds us profoundly of God's encompassing salvation. Even the animals are called upon to partake in the Lord's sacrifice, a symbol of the bounty of divine redemption and an assertion of God's dominion over all creation. Like the beasts and feathered fowls, we too have been summoned to the "mountains" of God's grace. There, we are invited not only to witness but to partake in the holy sacrifice made for us. This nourishment is not one of flesh and blood, but of immense spiritual sustenance, brimming with His mercy, love and forgiveness. This passage beautifully encapsulates the abounding generosity of our Heavenly Father, an open invitation for every soul to feast on the grace of His spiritual sacrifice.
