Verse of the Day

2 Samuel 17:14
And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.
Reflections On The Scripture: Throughout this passage, one crucial fact shines forth: God is sovereign. He is the ultimate authority and control belongs to Him. The decisions and choices we all make, great or small, are subject to His divine plan. When Absalom and his men followed Hushai’s advice over Ahithophel’s, it was not merely their human decision, but part of God’s grand design. Even in their disobedience, God’s purpose prevailed. When we face challenges or decisions, we must remember that our choices matter in the grand scheme of God's purpose. Let us be like Hushai who offered counsel that ultimately aligned with God’s divine plan, not out of manipulation, but out of obedience and trust in the Lord. Allow God's purpose to be the guiding factor in your decision making and trust that His ultimate plan is one of good, even when it seems otherwise.
