Verse of the Day

2 Chronicles 28:8
And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
Reflections On The Scripture: In life, we often find ourselves behaving like the children of Israel, trying to assert our dominance over our peers, thinking it will bring us joy and satisfaction. We gather spoils, boast about our victories, and revel in our superiority over those we consider our enemies. But what we fail to realize is that this path leads to destruction, not joy. Just as the children of Israel took what they wanted without mercy or regard for their brethren, we too fall into the trap of greed and selfishness. In place of unity, we breed division; in place of compassion, we breed hatred. Yet, remember the Lord's teaching that we are all children of God, brethren under His wings. In our pursuit of temporary Earthly spoils remember the eternal blessings found in love and unity.
