Verse of the Day

1 Samuel 17:49
And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.
Reflections On The Scripture: This is a wonderful demonstration of the power that is wielded when one has unshakable faith in God. David, a young and seemingly ill-equipped shepherd, was able to defeat the mighty warrior Goliath, not by sword or spear, but with a mere stone and sling. God doesn't always call on the equipped. Instead, he equips those he calls. When God is on your side, no obstacle or enemy, no matter how formidable, can stand in your way. Let's be like David, have faith in the Lord, stand up to our giants, and confront our challenges. With God's help, we can overcome obstacles that seem insurmountable.
