Verse of the Day

1 Kings 9:15
And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
Reflections On The Scripture: Just as King Solomon raised a levy to build the house of the Lord, so too are we each called to contribute our own efforts in the service of building up the Kingdom of God. We are each given our own "levy," our unique talents, abilities, and resources, to contribute towards this great work. It reminds us that God's plans involve partnership with us. He doesn't call us to labor in vain, but to bear His yoke and work in concert with his divine purpose. We must remember that every work we do in faithfulness is a block in the wall of His Kingdom, every kind word of encouragement or act of love is a treasure in the house of the Lord. We are the laborers in the vineyard, the builders in His kingdom, and in our hands, He places the tools we need and entrusts us to do our part.
