Verse of the Day

1 Kings 18:4
For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
Reflections On The Scripture: There's a remarkable lesson in the selfless actions of Obadiah. Amidst the oppressive reign of Jezebel, he risks his personal safety to provide for those in need, the prophets of the Lord. This scripture demonstrates how we too should rise above fear, take bold actions and stand up for what is right, even when such actions seem dangerous or impossible. Much like Obadiah, we should extend a hand of charity even in dire circumstances, feeding the hungry, providing for the needy and standing firm in our faith. In essence, whenever we choose to live out the love of God fearlessly, we never know the depth and breadth of the impact that we might have; much like Obadiah whose courage and selflessness continued to fuel the prophets' ministry.
