Verse of the Day

Psalms 123:1
Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
Reflections On The Scripture: Imagine standing at the foot of a great mountain, its peak shrouded in the clouds, impossible to see from where you stand. Yet, you know it’s there, far above, where the air thins and the world can be seen in all its wide-spanning glory. This is our relationship with God, the Invisible yet Ever-Present. Every day is an opportunity to lift our eyes, our hearts, and our spirits, to Him dwelling in the heavens, the great unseen peak of our faith. It reminds us that God’s wisdom, strength and love are ever lofty, beyond our comprehension, yet always within reach of a humble, upward-facing heart. Though we may dwell in the valley, faced with life's numerous trials and challenges, we do not belittle our faith. We see beyond the circumstances, beyond what is physically seen. We lift up our eyes – not onto man, not onto our circumstances, but unto God. For by doing so, our focus shifts from the limitations of earth, to God's infinite capabilities. Our eyes, hearts and hope ascend, reaching out for the One who has the power to turnaround everything, the One dwelling in the heavens.
