Verse of the Day

Nehemia 13:5
And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.
Reflections On The Scripture: The magnitude of preparations done in this verse symbolizes the profound depth of respect and gratitude we should hold for those who guide us in our faith. Investing in these spiritual leaders - the Levites, the singers, the porters, and the priests - is more than mere obedience; it's an honor and a privilege. As we prepare our own "chambers" in our hearts, we should fill them with the same offerings – our time, our resources, our talents. The tithe we give should not be seen as an obligation, but as a demonstration of our appreciation for God's constant love and sufficiency. As we share the "new wine" and "oil" of our lives, it is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude for His provision, rekindling our faith and revitalizing our relationship with Him.
