Verse of the Day

Luke 21:1
And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
Reflections On The Scripture: There is an important lesson in this verse for us: wealth cannot be measured by the amount of money we give, but by the intentions behind our giving. The rich men mentioned were possibly giving large amounts, but their hearts may have been devoid of genuine generosity. They could have been doing it out of obligation, vanity, or pride, rather than a spirit of empathy or love. True giving, as we've been taught, isn't just about the outward action but the inward intent. The tiny gifts matter just as much, if not more, if they are given with true compassion and kindness. So let us strive not to be like those rich men who gave much materially, but perhaps gave scant in their hearts. Instead, let us be like those who, no matter how small their gift, give all with love and sincerity.
