Reflections On The Scripture: This scripture can remind us about the seasons of preparation and waiting in our lives. Just like Peter, we may have a longing to follow Christ immediately into what He is calling us to, but sometimes we are not quite ready. It's not a rejection, instead, it's a time of growth, of learning, of developing the faith and strength we need to wholly fulfill the plans He has set for us. But His promise is clear - we will follow Him afterwards. The assurance is there; our time will come. In the meantime, we are required to trust His timing, to stay obedient and to remain faithful, confident in the knowledge that He is always at work behind the scenes molding us to be the men and women of God He wants us to be.
