Verse of the Day
Isaiah 26:13
Reflections On The Scripture: We may find ourselves, even if unintentionally, placing other things in a position higher than God. Careers, relationships, worldly pursuits; these "other lords" can indeed take dominion over us, leading us away from our First Love. Yet, in such circumstances, this verse is a powerful reminder that God alone should have our unwavering allegiance. The name of the LORD should be the one we primarily acknowledge, glorify, and depend on. So, in our daily lives, let us repurpose our hearts, willingly surrender our dominions to Him, and boldly mention only His wonderful and deserving name. For in doing so, we acknowledge the sovereignty of God in our lives and our utter dependence upon Him.
