Verse of the Day

Genesis 24:7
The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father\'s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.
Reflections On The Scripture: This passage reminds us of God's faithfulness, protection, and his divine guidance. It serves to reassure us that the Lord who has brought us this far won't abandon us. He is a covenant-keeping God, who swears to us the promise of a blessed future, much like He did with the seed of Abraham. Further, the reference to God sending his angel before us is an affirmation that we are never alone - in our greatest challenges, our solitary struggles, God is orchestrating a divine expedition. His angels are constantly sent before us, preparing a path, protecting us, and helping us align our paths with His will. The same divine power that moved in the past moves today and we are all beneficiaries of God's continuing promises. God continues to direct our paths - even in choosing our life's partner, as implied in the passage. We should take comfort and courage in this truth.
