Verse of the Day
Exodus 25:21
Reflections On The Scripture: The mercy seat signifies the divine presence of our Lord. It is positioned at the core – the heart of the most holy place. Place it above, He says, affirming that mercy is above all, associated with the highest divine authority. God's mercy seat is not separated; rather, it resides right there with His Testimony - His laws and promises. This encompasses a beautiful balance of mercy with righteousness. Let's remember, our God is not just one who strictly adheres to the laws, but He is also a God of overflowing mercy. He sets our penalties aside, rewarding us grace and love, despite the laws that we often break. Therefore, we should not only embrace God's laws but bask in His mercy for He extends it plentifully towards us all.
