Verse of the Day

Daniel 11:13
For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
Reflections On The Scripture: This verse from Daniel continues to shine a light on the bedrock of our faith - the knowledge that all things, even the rising and falling of powerful nations, rest in God's Hands. We often become preoccupied with the superficial power in this world - wealth, might, and temporal authority. However, this verse reminds us, in a way that only the Bible can, that true power rests not in armies or riches, but in the unfailing Love and Grace of our Creator. After all, the "king of the north," regardless of the size of his armies or the wealth of his coffers, is ultimately secondary to "the King of all." Every rise and fall, every triumph and loss, each serves a purpose in God's grand design for His creation.
