Verse of the Day

2 Kings 19:6
And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
Reflections On The Scripture: Often, we find ourselves shaken by words of doubt, failure, and fear instigated by the bitter voice of the world. However, Isaiah's assurance in 2 Kings 19:6 is a powerful reminder. The Lord tells us not to be afraid of these taunting words meant to weaken our faith. These are but hollow blasphemies of worldly kings, they hold no sway in the divine arena of God's authority. We must remember that our God is stronger and mightier than any fearful words spoken against Him. Our Master, the Lord, is a High tower, a refuge in times of fear, doubt, and uncertainty. So, let us uplift our faith, gird our souls with courage and stand steadfast in the Almighty's promise of protection.
