Verse of the Day

1 Samuel 6:18
And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.
Reflections On The Scripture: This powerful scripture reminds us of the centrality of faith and commitment in our journey with God. Just as the golden mice and the great stone of Abel were significant markers of the Philistine's cities, the Ark of the Lord serves as a defining testament of our faith. It symbolizes God's enduring presence in our lives, and like the stone in the field of Joshua, it remains constant and unshaken. God is relentless in His love and is ever-present, even when we wander into the fields of tribulation. He pursues us to the country villages of our despair and into the walled cities of our heart’s rebellion. No place is too remote for His grace. This verse inspires us to honour God in every sphere and embrace His unwavering presence in our lives, wherever we may find ourselves.
