My aunt passed away @ age 89 in January. She was the oldest of 6 sisters and the last to pass away. She and my mom, who passed away 15 years ago, were not particularly close, but I never understood why. My aunt shared some very disturbing details about her relationship with my mother and father. While I'm having a difficult time believing what my aunt shared, I'm torn because it has re-shaped the fond memories of my Mom & Dad. I realize there is nothing we can do to change the past and I'm struggling to understand why my aunt felt compelled to share this part of her life. I have prayed that God would help me to erase the memory of my aunt's revelation. Where would you suggest I start?
