When I first started following Jesus I thought that my life would somehow be easier. Like the path of my life would be flat and well paved.
But in actual fact, in many cases, it’s turned out to be a straight up hill climb.
I think that’s why the writer of Psalms asks God for feet like the feet of a deer so that he can climb the heights.
See I think often what we do is ask God to level our path and pave it or make it perfectly straight. But God never promises that.
That’s why I think we need to start praying for feet like the feet of a deer that are able to climb that mountains with ease and grace.
So the next time you’re facing an up hil battle, why don’t you shift your prayer?
Don’t ask God to take the mountain away. Ask Him to give you the right feet so that you can climb it to a new height.
