I want to talk a little bit about a word that is so important, and the word is ‘focus’.
Sometimes we see pictures, or we take pictures with our phone, but it’s blurry. It’s not in focus and we can’t really tell what it is. And I’m not talking about like it’s artsy out of focus on purpose. I mean it’s blurry, and we don’t know what’s going on.
And it’s so important to approach our life, right, our day, with focus. We start our day, you know, what really matters for today. What are we trying to accomplish for today? How are we honoring God with today, how are we doing our best with what God’s given us through today? What are we really focusing on? If all these things are priorities then none of these things are going to be priorities.
So when you start your day, what’s most important? When you start a new week, what’s the most important thing? When you move into a new chapter in life, what are we really focusing on?
Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. And let’s focus on things that really matter, not just things that feel important in the moment.
So what are you focusing on today?
