In an interview with CBN, Denzel Washington, shares the importance of pursuing God’s will.  He also shared his mission as a Christian to use his profession to share his faith.
With Studio5’s Efrem Graham, Washington talks about the value of combining faith and action through our talents, and in everything that we do.

He says, “You have to use your gifts – faith without works is nothing.”

Washington recalls the time where a woman prophesized that he would travel the world and preach to many people.
Back then, he asked his pastor if this meant he was supposed to be a preacher. His pastor explained that he was already meant to do the exact the same thing through his profession.
Washington says that he has been preaching through his work and he remembers being told that he has to try to be an “agent for good.”He has been using his career to do this for years, and with new projects lining up for him, he is not about to stop.

Washington is set to play a “transformative performance” in his next movie titled, “Roman J Israel, Esq.”

He plays the lead role as an idealistic attorney and civil rights activist whose life is upended when his mentor dies.  He is then recruited to be part of a law firm run by his mentor’s former student, George Pierce. A series of events will unfold that will put his character to the test.
His next film is one to look out for, s critics have been praising his performance and magnetism.  The movie stars Colin Farrell and Carmen Ejogo and will be released on Nov. 17, 2017.
